About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Planning, commissioning and operation of WAN and LAN infrastructures in distributed data center environments
Planning, operation and optimization of firewalls and security solutions
Operation and further development of internet-based services (mail, proxy, NTP, DNS, remote access, site-to-site VPN)
Analysis of network and security requirements and development of sustainable solutions
Independent planning and implementation of IT projects
Management and coordination of technical projects
Ensuring a stable and secure operation of the infrastructure
Collaboration with customers and internal teams for continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience in networking and IT security
Proven experience with Check Point / Fortinet systems (firewall, IDS/IPS)
Solid knowledge of routing (BGP)/switching, DNS, DHCP
Good knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) and Windows
Ideally experience with 802.1x, CheckMK and Ansible
Analytical and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills
Experience in planning and managing technical projects
Strong communication skills, team player mentality and customer-oriented approach
