About the role

  • Planning, commissioning and operation of WAN and LAN infrastructures in distributed data center environments
  • Design, operation and optimization of firewalls and security solutions
  • Operation and further development of internet-based services (mail, proxy, NTP, DNS, remote access, site-to-site VPN)
  • Analysis of network and security requirements and development of sustainable solutions
  • Independent planning and implementation of IT projects
  • Management and coordination of technical projects
  • Ensuring the stable and secure operation of the infrastructure
  • Collaboration with customers and internal teams to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Several years of professional experience in networking and IT security
  • Proven experience with Check Point / Fortinet systems (firewall, IDS/IPS)
  • Solid knowledge of routing (BGP) / switching, DNS, DHCP
  • Good knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) and Windows
  • Ideally experience with 802.1X, CheckMK and Ansible
  • Analytical and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in planning and managing technical projects
  • Strong communication skills, team player and customer-oriented demeanor
