About the role

  • Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure)
  • Manage container clusters in the cloud (AKS)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Plan and implement monitoring and alerting strategies
  • Implement backup and recovery solutions
  • Manage databases, messaging and caching systems
  • Collaborate with development teams to define criteria for scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure application development

Requirements

  • Several years of experience running production workloads in the cloud
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
  • Experience with CI/CD strategies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring/logging platforms (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, Elasticsearch/Kibana)
  • Experience with version control tools and platforms (Git/GitHub)
  • At least 4 years' experience working with GNU/Linux environments
  • Experience working with Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes service mesh solutions (Linkerd, Istio)
  • Experience operating MS SQL, Postgres & MySQL databases
  • Strong team player, results-driven and proactive
