About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leading or contributing to end-to-end product development, from concept through to commercialisation
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory
  • Driving design solutions that balance performance, manufacturability, and patient safety
  • Overseeing prototype development, testing, and validation activities
  • Supporting design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation
  • Mentoring and sharing knowledge with less experienced engineers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant engineering environment
  • Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong track record of delivering engineering outcomes in complex, real-world settings
  • Confident communicator who can work effectively across teams and influence decisions
  • A thoughtful, pragmatic approach to problem solving and risk management
  • Experience in some or all of the following:
  • New product development and product lifecycle management
  • Designing and building prototypes, with a hands-on approach
  • Manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding, DFM/DFA principles)
  • Product testing, validation, and technical documentation
  • Project leadership or ownership of key workstreams
  • Exposure to regulated environments (e.g. medical devices, ISO standards)
