About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Provide professional nursing care under medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan
- Maintain client orders and document changes in the medical record
- Provide personal care services, monitoring and reporting, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services
- Perform tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings when applicable
- Collaborate with the client’s care team
- Promote personal safety and a safe environment
- Comply with Agency policies, procedures, payor requirements, and accreditation standards
- Participate in care coordination and attend Agency meetings as requested
- Perform other related duties as necessary
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of operation
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Licensed driver with automobile insured according to state or Agency requirements
- At least 1 year as a licensed nurse
- Pediatric experience requested in the application screening questions
