About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Wealth Management and Trust Operations as a senior operational resource and subject matter expert
  • Serve as an authorized signatory for Trust-related distribution disbursements
  • Coordinate EFTPS administration and processing activities
  • Review and approve complex trust operational transactions
  • Escalate and resolve complex account administration, asset transfer, settlement, and operational exception issues
  • Monitor operational controls, reconciliation exceptions, and risk mitigation practices
  • Lead testing, validation, and implementation of controls, workflows, and procedures
  • Coordinate annual tax processing for 1099-B, DIV, INT, 1099-R, 5498, and 1099-MISC forms
  • Coordinate complex tax reporting and resolve tax-related discrepancies
  • Generate monthly and quarterly Board, RCT, overdraft, and PCG reports
  • Analyze operational, compliance, and exception reporting and prepare recommendations for management
  • Coordinate audit request responses and remediation efforts
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assist with policy and procedure development
  • Serve as subject matter expert for fiduciary services, FIS AddVantage, and Investor’s View
  • Participate in system upgrades, conversions, vendor enhancements, and related testing
  • Develop system procedures and training documentation
  • Partner with vendors, IT, and business stakeholders
  • Serve as secondary project lead for department and corporate-wide initiatives
  • Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to Trust Operations staff
  • Participate in cross-functional and strategic initiatives
  • Perform root-cause analysis and recommend workflow, policy, procedure, and system improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Trust School or CTFA preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in banking with a concentration in Trust operations
  • Experience with Trust Accounting Systems required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or database experience
  • Knowledge of Trust Accounting Systems and operational applications
  • Experience with FIS AddVantage and related Wealth Management platforms preferred
  • Ability to learn new systems and applications and adapt to system upgrades
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound professional judgment and risk mitigation ability
  • Must be punctual
  • Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, branches, functions, and training facilities required
  • First American Bank will not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; additional hours may be required
