About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Wealth Management and Trust Operations as a senior operational resource and subject matter expert
  • Serve as an authorized signatory for Trust-related distribution disbursements
  • Coordinate EFTPS administration and processing for tax reporting and compliance
  • Review and approve complex trust operational transactions
  • Escalate and resolve complex account administration, asset transfer, settlement, and operational exception issues
  • Monitor operational controls, reconciliations, risk mitigation, and corrective actions
  • Lead testing and implementation of operational controls, workflows, and procedures
  • Coordinate annual tax processing for 1099-B, DIV, INT, 1099-R, 5498, and 1099-MISC forms
  • Research and resolve tax-related operational issues and reporting discrepancies
  • Generate monthly and quarterly Board, RCT, overdraft, and PCG reports
  • Analyze operational, compliance, and exception reporting and develop metrics
  • Prepare summaries and recommendations for senior management and Wealth Management leadership
  • Coordinate audit request responses and remediation efforts
  • Monitor regulatory developments and recommend procedural modifications
  • Serve as subject matter expert for fiduciary services, FIS AddVantage, and Investor’s View
  • Participate in system upgrade, conversion, and vendor enhancement testing
  • Develop system procedures and training documentation
  • Partner with vendors, IT, and business stakeholders on system initiatives
  • Serve as secondary project lead for department and corporate-wide initiatives
  • Mentor, train, and provide technical guidance to Trust Operations staff
  • Assist with departmental goals, procedures, and operational priorities
  • Identify efficiency, accuracy, control, customer service, workflow, policy, procedure, and system improvements
  • Perform root-cause analysis and recommend sustainable solutions
  • Participate in strategic initiatives supporting Wealth Management and Trust Operations growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Trust School or CTFA preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in banking with a concentration in Trust operations
  • Experience with Trust Accounting Systems required
  • FIS AddVantage experience preferred
  • Professional communication skills with internal and external contacts
  • Effective written communication, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms
  • Professional demeanor, appearance, and presence
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and a constructive, solutions-focused approach
  • Sound professional judgment and risk mitigation ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems, applications, and workflows
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or database experience
  • Knowledge of Trust Accounting Systems and operational applications
  • Experience with FIS AddVantage and related Wealth Management platforms preferred
  • Professional judgment when using AI-enabled tools, including validating outputs and following organizational AI policies
  • Typical availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; additional hours may be required
  • Punctuality required
  • Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, branches, functions, and training facilities required
