About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Fabricate and assemble high quality, high reliability wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Ensures that all work performed is properly and completely documented in preparation for QA inspection
- Demonstrates effective harness repair techniques using acceptable practices including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring
- Read and interpret planning documents, process controls, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, drawings, manuals, blueprints, and engineering sketches
- Provide feedback to engineering on quality, discrepancy identification and manufacturing and design improvements
- Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations
- Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-2 years related work experience in wire harness assembly or box and battery assembly.
- Demonstrates basic technical skills in electro-mechanical assembly
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with first-rate work efficiency and accuracy
- Industry experience related to harness assembly including wire preparation, connector termination and assembly, soldering, and layup
- Must have the dexterity and ability to perform hands on harness assembly for extended periods of time
- Basic computer skills with the ability to use e-mail and associated MS office programs
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of industry standards (i.e. IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-610, IPC-J-STD-001) and associated assembly techniques (i.e. crimping, soldering, wire preparation)
- Mentoring to fellow team members.
