About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Core member of the engineering team
Responsible for the further development and operation of our broker, finanzen.net zero
Work as part of an agile team, collaborating with internal departments including IT, Marketing, Support and Business
Develop the platform using Java and Spring Boot in a cloud-based environment (AWS)
Responsible for our platform and 3rd-level support requests
Monitor and manage end-of-day processing from the banking system and handle securities order processing.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience developing and operating cloud-based backend applications (preferably AWS) using Java, Spring Boot and REST
Solid knowledge of trading, brokerage and banking environments
Ideally experience in securities settlement, order management and end-of-day processing
Experience with AI tools
Experience with MySQL or similar relational, transaction-based databases
Independent, structured and goal-oriented working style
Methodical experience with agile processes such as Scrum/Kanban
Experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence
Analytical mindset, as well as strategic and process-oriented thinking
Initiative, strong communication skills and receptiveness to feedback
Fluent German language skills, spoken and written, at least C1.
