About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You are an integral member of the engineering team and co-responsible for the development and operation of our broker finanzen.net zero.
- Work as part of an agile team with interfaces to internal business units, IT, marketing, support, and business.
- Develop our platform together with the team: we use Java and Spring Boot in a cloud-based environment (AWS).
- Together with the team, you take responsibility for our platform and act as the direct contact for our business units on 3rd-level support requests.
- You continuously monitor our systems/operational dashboards, oversee and control end-of-day processing from the banking system, and manage the execution of our customers' securities orders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in developing and operating cloud-based backend applications (preferably AWS) with Java, Spring Boot, and REST
- Solid knowledge of the trading, brokerage, and banking environment – ideally with experience in securities settlement, order management, and end-of-day processing
- Experience with AI tools and interest in integrating them into daily development routines
- Knowledge of MySQL or similar relational, transaction-oriented databases is desirable
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented working style
- Methodical experience with agile processes such as SCRUM / Kanban, and experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Analytical thinking as well as strategic and process-oriented thinking and acting
- Initiative, communication, and ability to accept and give constructive criticism
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, at least C1.
