About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help shape, build and continuously improve our continuous delivery pipeline on AWS.
Design and implement AWS infrastructure for services running on ECS and Lambda using CloudFormation (CFN) and AWS CDK in TypeScript.
Build and maintain CI/CD workflows for automated builds, tests and deployments.
Contribute to architecture decisions and the ongoing development of our tooling landscape within the engineering teams.
Operate and evolve supporting services such as AWS CodeArtifact and ECR for artifact and container image management.
Configure and operate central platform components such as AWS WAF, CloudFront, VPCs and VPN setups.
Provide and further develop local developer tooling to improve the developer experience for our feature teams.
Work closely with feature teams as internal customers — understand their needs and provide reliable platform capabilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience with AWS, particularly ECS, Lambda and VPC, as well as AWS WAF, CloudFront and VPN setups, including secure use of AWS CDK in TypeScript and CloudFormation (CFN).
Proficiency in Java and strong skills in TypeScript, ideally in the context of AWS CDK and service development.
Experience with Gradle and Git; familiarity with AWS CodeArtifact and ECR is a plus.
Hands-on experience building local developer tooling and a strong focus on Developer Experience.
Senior-level expertise in developing platform and CI/CD strategies, with the ability to make sound technical decisions and work independently.
Strong collaboration skills to work closely with feature teams and within the platform team when implementing technical solutions.
Ideally experience with Spring Boot, Angular or Flutter, and knowledge of networking technologies and VPN configuration.
Conversational German is required.
