About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You lead and develop a high-performing engineering team with a focus on ownership, agile collaboration and self-organized work
  • You are responsible for the technical evolution of our neo-broker and the portal, and you collaborate with Product, Design and other stakeholders to shape innovative finance products
  • You actively contribute your brokerage and investment domain experience to technical and business decisions
  • You work closely with product teams to implement new features and user experiences across the entire investment journey
  • You promote technical excellence through architecture work, code reviews, best practices and continuous improvement
  • You support the establishment of efficient development processes and ensure high software quality
  • You are actively involved in recruiting processes and help grow our engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience in developing and operating cloud-based web applications — ideally on AWS
  • Strong hands-on experience with technologies such as Java, REST APIs and modern SPA frameworks like Angular
  • Experience in both technical (functional) and disciplinary leadership of engineering teams
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Analytical and strategic thinking with a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
  • High initiative, strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaborative work
  • Degree in (business/media) computer science or a comparable qualification
  • Deep understanding of brokerage products, securities trading and investment processes — experience in the neo-broker environment
  • Passion for technology, digital products and modern investment experiences
  • Very good German and English skills
