About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead practical R&D initiatives in Generative AI (GenAI), focusing on real-world use cases and measurable impact.
- Build and ship full‑stack features using FastAPI, Angular, and AWS, owning the process from commit to production.
- Make key technical decisions, drive architectural discussions, and mentor other engineers through code reviews and system design.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proactive in leveraging Generative AI tools to improve development workflows with measurable impact (not just buzzwords)
- Strong interest in finance, markets, or investing (e.g., equities, ETFs) with a willingness to develop domain expertise
- Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with 5+ years of experience delivering production software
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (ideally AWS)
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong sense of ownership, demonstrating initiative, independence, and the ability to carry work from problem to solution
- Nice to have: Experience with microservices architecture
- Nice to have: Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Nice to have: Experience with the Angular frontend framework
- Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and/or AWS CDK
