About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You are a core member of the engineering team and jointly responsible for the further development and operation of our broker platform finanzen.net zero.
- Work as part of an agile team with interfaces to internal business units, IT, Marketing, Support and other business stakeholders.
- Develop our platform together with the team: we use Java and Spring Boot in a cloud-based environment (AWS).
- Together with the team you take responsibility for our platform and act as the primary contact for our business units on 3rd-level support requests.
- You continuously monitor our systems and operational dashboards, oversee and manage the end-of-day processing from the banking system, and ensure the processing of our customers' securities orders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in the development and cloud-based operation (preferably AWS) of backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and REST
- Solid knowledge of the trading, brokerage and banking domain—ideally with experience in securities settlement, order management and end-of-day processing
- Experience with AI tools and a genuine interest in integrating them usefully into everyday development
- Experience working with MySQL or similar relational, transaction-oriented databases
- Independent, structured and goal-oriented working style
- Practical experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban, and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Analytical thinking as well as strategic and process-oriented thinking and acting
- Initiative, strong communication skills and ability to handle feedback: as a team player you value constructive exchange to meet shared goals on time
- Fluent German language skills, both spoken and written, at least C1.
