Key responsibilities & impact

Advise colleges and universities on financial aid system configuration, optimization, and integration strategies
Provide functional leadership for financial aid technology workflows, reporting processes, and data exchanges
Translate regulatory and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve system, workflow, and data-related challenges
Identify opportunities to automate processes, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency
Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, validation, and modernization initiatives
Improve data controls, reconciliations, reporting capabilities, and overall system effectiveness
Develop documentation, playbooks, recommendations, and best-practice guidance tailored to institutional needs
Serve as a trusted technical partner to financial aid offices, information technology teams, enrollment leaders, and executive stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Significant experience with one or more higher education enterprise systems, including Banner, PeopleSoft, Workday, PowerFAIDS, Colleague, or comparable platforms
Strong understanding of financial aid operations and the systems that support compliance and student services
Experience with system configuration, implementation, integration, testing, and optimization
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to assess current-state processes and recommend future-state improvements
Experience communicating technical concepts to functional staff, institutional leaders, and executive stakeholders
Excellent organizational, project management, and client relationship skills
Experience working in higher education technology, financial aid administration, ERP environments, consulting, or systems implementation projects
