About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all entities, including intercompany eliminations and consolidated reporting.
- Supervise direct manufacturing cost accounting, absorption costing, inventory valuation, and standard/actual cost true-ups.
- Apply and document GAAP across inventory, leases, revenue, stock compensation, and income taxes, including memos and SOPs.
- Lead the annual financial statement audit and coordinate with external tax advisors, including cannabis-specific tax positions.
- Ensure financial compliance with state cannabis regulators and senior lender reporting and covenant requirements.
- Maintain and improve the Acumatica ERP and finance stack, including Datarails and Ramp.
- Design and enforce internal controls, workflows, and process documentation.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the onshore and offshore accounting team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory/management experience
- Strong technical GAAP foundation
- Demonstrated ownership of a full-cycle close
- Cost, manufacturing, and distribution accounting experience
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- ERP proficiency
- CPA preferred
- Cannabis or other highly regulated, multi-entity/multi-state industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with §280E and cannabis tax considerations preferred
- Experience with Acumatica and FP&A/consolidation tooling preferred
