About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as FenX’s on-site technical lead and industrialization representative at customer factories, ensuring successful commissioning, ramp-up, and performance delivery.
- Drive hands-on problem solving, coordinate stakeholders, and design/improve mechanical solutions for industrial and prototype equipment.
- Serve as the key link between customer site, suppliers, and FenX teams (incl. Switzerland).
- Hands‑on day-to-day technical support at customer factory; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical/process issues during commissioning and ramp-up.
- Drive implementation of practical technical solutions to reach agreed factory performance and reliability targets.
- Design, adapt and improve hardware solutions (prototype + industrial scale); support rapid iteration and testing.
- Work closely with machinery suppliers on upgrades, extensions, and automation.
- Ensure alignment between on-site activities and internal engineering teams (regular interactions and travels to Switzerland).
- Maintain clear and structured reporting on technical issues, root cause analyses, corrective actions, implementation progress, and outcomes.
- Capture learnings and standardize solutions for rollout to future customer factories.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mechanical Engineer background (industrial equipment, machinery design).
- Process / materials knowledge is a plus.
- Not afraid to get hands dirty; pragmatic, on‑site, solution‑oriented mindset.
- Experience in industrial environments, factory commissioning, or scale‑up projects is a strong asset.
- Ability to independently design, procure and implement mechanical solutions, from concept to industrial deployment.
- Competence in coordinating external suppliers and industrial service providers from specification through implementation.
- Fluent in Spanish and English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to be based at customer site most of the time + regular travel to Switzerland.
- Comfortable working with operators, engineers, and suppliers.
