About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as FenX’s on-site technical lead and industrialization representative at customer factories, ensuring successful commissioning, ramp-up, and performance delivery.
Drive hands-on problem solving, coordinate stakeholders, and design/improve mechanical solutions for industrial and prototype equipment.
Serve as the key link between customer site, suppliers, and FenX teams (incl. Switzerland).
Hands‑on day-to-day technical support at customer factory; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical/process issues during commissioning and ramp-up.
Drive implementation of practical technical solutions to reach agreed factory performance and reliability targets.
Design, adapt and improve hardware solutions (prototype + industrial scale); support rapid iteration and testing.
Work closely with machinery suppliers on upgrades, extensions, and automation.
Ensure alignment between on-site activities and internal engineering teams (regular interactions and travels to Switzerland).
Maintain clear and structured reporting on technical issues, root cause analyses, corrective actions, implementation progress, and outcomes.
Capture learnings and standardize solutions for rollout to future customer factories.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Mechanical Engineer background (industrial equipment, machinery design).
Process / materials knowledge is a plus.
Not afraid to get hands dirty; pragmatic, on‑site, solution‑oriented mindset.
Experience in industrial environments, factory commissioning, or scale‑up projects is a strong asset.
Ability to independently design, procure and implement mechanical solutions, from concept to industrial deployment.
Competence in coordinating external suppliers and industrial service providers from specification through implementation.
Fluent in Spanish and English; German is a plus.
Willingness to be based at customer site most of the time + regular travel to Switzerland.
Comfortable working with operators, engineers, and suppliers.
