About the role
- Cameron-Cole, an independent environmental services firm, seeks a Project Engineer III (CG08) to support operations in Florida.
- Hybrid work with some in-office presence is preferred, but role can be performed fully remote.
- Design, install, and oversee operation of environmental remediation systems with little supervision.
- Ensure plans are followed and adhere to Cameron-Cole guidelines and procedures.
- Manage assigned projects including budget tracking, invoice approval, team management, and provide high-level consulting.
- Participate in proposal and budget creation process.
- Write and prepare reports and presentations including tables, charts, and graphs.
- Provide technical direction, oversight, mentoring, and training to junior staff.
- Field oversight of subsurface investigations, pilot tests, and other environmental projects.
- Role reports to a Director and is accountable to Senior Staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- Professional Engineering (PE) Registration required
- 4+ years of Progressive experience with increased responsibility in environmental consulting
- Advanced skills in project management
- Experience with Petroleum Restoration Program requirements preferred
- OSHA HAZWOPR 40-hour (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response)
- A valid Driver's License required
- Strong client relationships and project management skills
- Broad experience in Florida with environmental projects including contaminated site restoration, subsurface investigations, and environmental permitting and compliance (air/water/waste)
- Excellent communication with demonstrated advanced writing skills
