About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Rocky)
Perform maintenance and troubleshoot operating systems
Deploy, configure, and maintain services and applications on operating systems
Work with scripting and automation (Bash/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
Use version control systems such as Git (GitHub, GitLab), following best practices for collaboration and code management
Manage infrastructure components: storage, virtualization, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, Active Directory)
Work with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
Diagnose incidents, identify root causes and apply corrective and preventive measures
Collaborate with architects, project managers and other technical stakeholders
Participate in on-call rotations
Promote automation and operational efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience administering Linux systems (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Rocky)
Additional knowledge of Windows Server
Strong fundamentals in operating systems: command line, process management, file systems, permissions, troubleshooting
Experience building, deploying and maintaining services and applications
Experience with scripting and automation (Bash/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
Experience with Git (GitHub, GitLab) and good code management practices
Good knowledge of storage, virtualization, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, Active Directory)
Familiarity with cloud concepts and experience with at least one major provider (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to apply corrective/preventive measures
Ability to understand requirements and technical solutions
Good communication skills
Critical thinking and focus on continuous improvement
Strong delivery orientation and ability to meet deadlines and objectives
Proactive attitude with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
