About the role

  • Administer enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Rocky)
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshoot operating systems
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain services and applications on operating systems
  • Work with scripting and automation (Bash/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
  • Use version control systems such as Git (GitHub, GitLab), following best practices for collaboration and code management
  • Manage infrastructure components: storage, virtualization, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, Active Directory)
  • Work with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) and concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Diagnose incidents, identify root causes and apply corrective and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers and other technical stakeholders
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Promote automation and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience administering Linux systems (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Rocky)
  • Additional knowledge of Windows Server
  • Strong fundamentals in operating systems: command line, process management, file systems, permissions, troubleshooting
  • Experience building, deploying and maintaining services and applications
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash/Shell, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell)
  • Experience with Git (GitHub, GitLab) and good code management practices
  • Good knowledge of storage, virtualization, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, Active Directory)
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts and experience with at least one major provider (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to apply corrective/preventive measures
  • Ability to understand requirements and technical solutions
  • Good communication skills
  • Critical thinking and focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong delivery orientation and ability to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
