About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Address issues related to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) within the legal system
- Raise awareness among judges, lawyers, and other justice professionals
- Advocate for appropriate accommodations and interventions
- Provide advice and recommendations to the Board of Directors and to FASD United staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Focus on awareness
- Educates legal and other professionals in the justice system about the characteristics and impacts of FASD
- Provides advice to the board, staff and committees regarding justice related issues
- Develops policies and procedures within the justice system that are specifically tailored to individuals with FASD
- Collaborates with organizations like FASD advocacy groups, mental health providers and social service agencies
