About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and execute the data platform roadmap from custodial ingestion through the security master to AI-ready data products
Lead and grow the data engineering team, setting the bar for technical quality
Own the firm’s security master, including reference data, corporate actions, and golden-source resolution across vendors
Design canonical models unifying accounts, positions, and transactions across Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, and other custodians
Drive data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and governance across regulated datasets
Define the platform roadmap, own it end-to-end, and execute its expansion across the firm and AI systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years in data platform roles
4+ years managing data teams
Deep security master experience with instrument reference data, corporate actions, and multi-vendor golden-source resolution
Prior experience on the data team at a broker/dealer
Exceptional data modeling skills
Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Python
Experience with SQL
Experience with Parquet-based data lakes
Experience with infrastructure-as-code using CDK
Experience with CI/CD-driven delivery
Experience with AI/agent integrations, including Anthropic and AWS Bedrock
