About the role

Requirements
- 2+ years in engineering leadership, with proven ability to mentor and inspire technical excellence.
- 7+ years in software development, ideally with Java and AWS or similar cloud technologies.
- 3+ years designing cloud-native systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong background in Agile delivery, with experience driving process improvements across teams.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Team-first mindset, results-oriented, and adaptable to high-growth, fast-changing environments.
- Track record of delivering complex, scalable solutions with a focus on customer experience.
- Preferred: Experience in the sports, gaming, or content delivery industries.
- Preferred: Proficiency with Kotlin, Java, and/or Go.
- Preferred: Expertise in event-driven architectures and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Amazon SQS).
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
- Preferred: Comfort working across diverse codebases (legacy and greenfield) in multiple languages and environments.
- Fully remote for candidates based in the United Kingdom (encouraged to join campus two days/week)
