Design, build, and optimize scalable, production-grade data pipelines.
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT frameworks for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data to Snowflake and downstream systems.
Partner with analytics, product, and data science teams to operationalize data models supporting loyalty initiatives.
Contribute to the architecture and evolution of Fanatics’ central data platform, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement data-centric processes and best practices.
Provide technical mentorship and contribute to the hiring, training, and growth of other engineers.
Champion engineering excellence through clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Deliver and maintain data and service integrations between teams and third-party platforms.
Be open to occasional travel to Fanatics offices and events for collaboration and team-building.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
Expertise in Spark and AWS EMR or similar tech for large-scale data processing.
Strong proficiency in Python or Scala and SQL for data transformation and automation.
Experience in large-scale cloud databases, data transformation, and performance optimization.
Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Dagster, or similar).
Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and data warehousing (Snowflake preferred).
Proven ability to work in a continuous delivery environment, writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bias for action, ownership, and delivering high-impact solutions.
