Role overview: Lead the company’s most strategic and high-value accounts, set direction for growth with top-tier partners, develop account-specific sales strategies, lead complex negotiations, and create scalable campaigns across leagues and territories.
Lead strategic planning and sales execution for the company’s largest and most complex accounts.
Serve as the senior relationship manager with key team, league, and retail partner leadership.
Develop strategic sales roadmaps, promotional calendars, and growth plans tailored to each major account.
Design and launch campaigns, programs, and sales initiatives to be executed by Account Managers across territories.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across merchandising, planning, licensing, and operations to ensure seamless execution and fulfillment.
Deliver performance recaps, insights, and recommendations directly to senior internal and external stakeholders.
Lead seasonal business reviews and top-to-top meetings with retail and licensing partners.
Synthesize market, customer, and POS data to proactively drive business decisions and influence cross-functional partners.
Identify and recommend replenishment and chase opportunities aligned to market demand and customer needs.
Partner closely with Sales Operations and Planning to align on forecasts, inventory strategies, and in-season management.
Provide coaching, guidance, and thought leadership to Account Managers.
Serve as a key contributor to cross-functional initiatives that impact how the business engages and grows its customer base.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of experience in strategic account management or sales, preferably with major retail or licensing partners.
Demonstrated success in growing high-value accounts and leading complex sales engagements.
Strong ability to craft and execute strategic plans with measurable business outcomes.
Executive presence and excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
Collaborative leadership style with a proven ability to influence across departments and levels.
Passion for sports and experience working within or alongside major sports leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NCAA) is preferred.
Willingness to travel for key account meetings, events, and strategic presentations.
