About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule, support, and facilitate Practice Group meetings; draft agendas, maintain minutes, and facilitate communication
- Communicate firm policies and directives to the Practice Group Leader, lawyers, and staff
- Identify, develop, and implement software and legal support systems with Information Services to enhance productivity
- Execute Practice Group objectives with the Practice Group Leader, Practice Group Director, and office and administrative leaders
- Serve as a go-to resource for the Practice Group
- Coordinate lawyer and consultant arrivals, orientations, moves, integrations, and offboarding
- Coordinate status-change communications and assist with the Advisor program
- Provide administrative support for performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, and bonus conversations
- Assist with staffing-level and hiring-needs recommendations
- Schedule lawyer training, including internal and external CLE programs
- Assess Practice Group lawyer, paralegal, and client relationship productivity and profitability
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial, staffing, and talent-management reports
- Complete special projects and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experience
- Minimum of three (3) years related administrative experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Law firm support experience preferred
- Must provide information from Form I-9 for work-authorization verification through E-Verify
