About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Schedule, support, and facilitate Practice Group meetings; draft agendas, maintain minutes, and facilitate communication
  • Communicate firm policies and directives to the Practice Group Leader, lawyers, and staff
  • Identify, develop, and implement software and legal support systems with Information Services to enhance productivity
  • Execute Practice Group objectives with the Practice Group Leader, Practice Group Director, and office and administrative leaders
  • Serve as a go-to resource for the Practice Group
  • Coordinate lawyer and consultant arrivals, orientations, moves, integrations, and offboarding
  • Coordinate status-change communications and assist with the Advisor program
  • Provide administrative support for performance evaluations, promotions, compensation, and bonus conversations
  • Assist with staffing-level and hiring-needs recommendations
  • Schedule lawyer training, including internal and external CLE programs
  • Assess Practice Group lawyer, paralegal, and client relationship productivity and profitability
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial, staffing, and talent-management reports
  • Complete special projects and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years related administrative experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Law firm support experience preferred
  • Must provide information from Form I-9 for work-authorization verification through E-Verify
