Lead design from discovery to deployment as a mid-weight Service Designer for Government and Public Sector projects.
Conduct user research during the discovery phase of projects.
Create user journey blueprints to explore and describe the service or operational environment.
Build and test prototypes (digital and non-digital, e.g., policy ideas or processes).
Work closely with clients and colleagues in multi-functional teams.
Guide and train others in the organisation on service design methods and practices.
Champion user-centred design across projects and the broader Faculty team.
Operate autonomously and provide thought leadership in user research and product strategy.
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Service Designer in a Government context or on public service design challenges.
Ability to work autonomously and hold your own in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Strong mix of strategic and analytical skills.
Experience working deeply with technology within multifunctional teams that have deployed products or services; experience of or a passion for AI is an advantage.
Willingness to mentor and teach others service designer best practice.
Eligible for Security Clearance: lived in the UK for the past 5 years continuously (role requirement).
