About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform terminal and electrical service, equipment and system repair, maintenance, testing and installation tasks at a variety of facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace wiring circuits for lighting and lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers and related electrical equipment
- Identify and acquire parts for replacement, maintenance and other required work in accordance with established procurement procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
- Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations, or follow diagrams and blueprints
- Plan layouts and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste, provide future maintenance access, and avoid hazardous or unreliable wiring
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing devices
- Install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs
- Convey knowledge of tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process
- Comply with government/local regulations, ordinances, safety guidelines, safety codes, and local electrical codes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years experience in lighting or electrical maintenance
- California Electrician License preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Must be able to meet criteria to drive a company vehicle
- Must be willing to work nights
- Valid and current drivers license
- Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic/specialized tools and equipment knowledge
