About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform terminal and electrical service, equipment and system repair, maintenance, testing, and installation tasks at a variety of facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace wiring circuits for lighting and lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, programmable controllers, and related electrical equipment
- Identify and acquire replacement and maintenance parts in accordance with established procurement procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment
- Prepare sketches showing locations of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams and blueprints
- Plan layouts and installations of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Plan new or modified installations to minimize material waste, provide future maintenance access, and avoid unsafe or unreliable wiring
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs
- Conform to government/local regulations, ordinances, safety guidelines, specifications, and electrical codes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years experience in lighting or electrical maintenance
- California Electrician License preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Must be able to meet criteria to drive a company vehicle
- Must be willing to work nights
- Valid and current drivers license
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines
- Knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, systems, equipment, wiring, lighting/system controls, computerized motor controls, and programmable controllers
- Ability to use ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and follow diagrams or blueprints
