About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and review design specifications, construction plans, and cost estimates for marine structures and waterfront projects
- Develop technical reports and feasibility studies for shoreline access systems and site developments
- Utilize engineering software, including AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 3D, and L-Pile, for analysis and design
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance
- Conduct site assessments and assist in evaluating environmental and structural challenges related to marine infrastructure
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and best practices in marine engineering projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of civil or structural engineering experience
- EIT required
- Marine experience preferred
- Background in steel design, concrete design, and fluid mechanics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 3D, and/or L-Pile
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and project management abilities
