About the role
- Coordinate end-to-end indirect purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, deadlines and quality.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across areas such as Finance, Legal, Marketing, HR, Engineering, Logistics, Projects and IT.
- Lead and develop the local team of buyers, promoting best practices, motivation and delivery of results.
- Negotiate contracts with strategic suppliers, ensuring SLA adherence, compliance and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various indirect spend categories.
- Influence and collaborate with the global procurement team, contributing to the adaptation of global strategies to local needs.
- Act with resilience under deadline pressures, changes and diverse organizational demands.
- Prepare TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analyses, benchmarks, KPIs and management reports.
- Comply with the Integrated Quality and Socio-Environmental Responsibility Policy, company procedures and practices, as well as applicable legal requirements, working to prevent waste and reduce the generation of waste, effluents and air emissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
- Familiarity/proficiency with acquisition processes for strategic management services and capital investments (CAPEX).
- Familiarity/proficiency with acquisition processes for corporate services in Finance, Legal, Marketing, HR, Engineering, Logistics, IT or related areas.
- Familiarity/proficiency with tools or software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, ME, Cost Drivers, among others).
- Microsoft Excel: Intermediate or Advanced.
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Intermediate or Advanced.
- Languages/Skills: English Intermediate or Advanced.
- Differentials:
- Certifications in: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Agile, PMP (Project Management Professional) or PM (Project Management).
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in: Production Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
- Familiarity/proficiency with acquisition processes for industrial equipment, machinery, light vehicles and heavy vehicles.
- Languages/Skills: Spanish Basic, Intermediate or Advanced.
