About the role
- Parameterization of protection devices in accordance with technical specifications and grid requirements
- Conducting tests and functional checks on protection devices
- Integration of protection systems into the overarching control and SCADA systems
- Thorough as‑built documentation of parameter settings and test results
- Collaboration with project teams and grid operators
Requirements
- Completed training in an electrical engineering discipline; master craftsman (Meister) or certified technician qualifications are welcome
- Experience with medium- and high-voltage switchgear, especially protection devices and protection schemes, and a good understanding of network topologies and circuit configurations
- Fluent German, both written and spoken
- Strong technical and interpersonal skills for problem solving and the ability to work independently
- Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel for business (up to 30%)
- Advantageous: professional experience in protection engineering and experience with protection relays and test systems, e.g. SIPROTEC / OMICRON
