About the role

  • Parameterization of protection devices in accordance with technical specifications and grid requirements
  • Conducting tests and functional checks on protection devices
  • Integration of protection systems into the overarching control and SCADA systems
  • Thorough as‑built documentation of parameter settings and test results
  • Collaboration with project teams and grid operators

Requirements

  • Completed training in an electrical engineering discipline; master craftsman (Meister) or certified technician qualifications are welcome
  • Experience with medium- and high-voltage switchgear, especially protection devices and protection schemes, and a good understanding of network topologies and circuit configurations
  • Fluent German, both written and spoken
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills for problem solving and the ability to work independently
  • Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel for business (up to 30%)
  • Advantageous: professional experience in protection engineering and experience with protection relays and test systems, e.g. SIPROTEC / OMICRON
