About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the site-level owner for Production operations in SEO and HYD, ensuring Production teams are supported, informed, and aligned with global standards.
- Lead day-to-day resourcing, vacation approvals, and coverage planning for Production staff in SEO/HYD, in partnership with Producers and the Central Production Manager.
- Coordinate ShotGrid show setup and closure for SEO/HYD shows, applying global templates, workflows and conventions and ensuring clean, consistent data.
- Oversee time log, overtime, and weekend-work administration in the region, ensuring accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with company policies.
- Support and coordinate post‑mortems for local shows as requested, capturing actions, ensuring follow‑through, and surfacing systemic issues to global leadership.
- Help drive implementation of global workflows and Production standards locally: maintain local checklists, guides, and how‑tos, run walkthroughs and refreshers when changes roll out, and model best practices and champion adoption in SEO/HYD.
- Partner with the Central Production Manager and Talent/HR to support recruitment for Production roles in SEO/HYD: participate in interviews and provide structured feedback and level recommendations.
- Support onboarding for new Production hires in SEO/HYD by ensuring they understand how we work: core workflows, tools, expectations, and ways of working with show teams.
- Develop and deliver Production training sessions for SEO/HYD (for example: ShotGrid usage, show workflows, production skills), and provide practical examples and feedback to help evolve global Production training.
- Act as a day-to-day resource and mentor for junior Production staff, helping them build confidence in both the technical and interpersonal aspects of their role.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of experience in VFX, Animation, Games, or a closely related field, with time spent in Production roles such as a Digital Production Manager, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of VFX Production workflows and day-to-day realities on shows, including scheduling, communication flows, and cross‑department collaboration.
- Experience with ShotGrid (Flow), ideally including show setup, basic template management, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to:
- - Organize and prioritize multiple operational tasks and stakeholders.
- - Manage resourcing and vacation planning in a dynamic, multi‑show environment.
- - Operate calmly and constructively under pressure and ambiguity.
- Skilled in stakeholder management, able to collaborate effectively with Producers, Coordinators, department leads, and global Operations teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills; able to make processes clearer and easier to follow, not more complex.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and cultural awareness, particularly when working across sites and time zones (SEO and HYD).
- Proficiency with G‑Suite and comfort working with resource and time-tracking data.
