About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide as a bridge between practice and leadership with the Quality Payment Program (QPP) Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
- Serve as a point of contact for practices for MIPS support and submission.
- Audit and analyze data to identify discrepancies or areas of opportunity for the practice.
- Help prepare reports for submission process.
- Audits and communications with practices throughout the year
- Point of contact for all practices with MIPS questions and issues.
- Assist in data validation to comply with CMS requirements and help confirm accuracy of data reported to CMS.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of QPP and MIPS changes.
- Communicate MIPS information with leadership.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Perform other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization, as defined by management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of Medicare and coding rules and regulations
- Experience and knowledge of EMR systems a plus
- Professional in appearance and actions
- Logical and Critical thinking skills
- Customer-focused with excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
- Enjoys learning new technologies and systems.
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
- Exhibits a positive attitude and is flexible in accepting work assignments and priorities.

- Ability for basic to intermediate problem solving, including mathematics.
- Basic to intermediate computer operation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Travel to other site locations may be necessary. Thus, those needing to travel for work must have access to dependable transportation, and their driving record must meet company liability carrier standards.
- Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines.
