About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and evolve back-end applications using Java 8+ / 11+ and Spring Boot
Work with the Spring ecosystem to build robust and scalable solutions
Develop and maintain solutions based on a microservices architecture
Design, develop and evolve REST APIs, ensuring efficient integration between systems
Work with messaging solutions such as Kafka, ActiveMQ or similar technologies
Model, develop and optimize queries for relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL
Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React
Use Hooks, Context API and componentization best practices
Build reusable components and integrate the front end with back-end APIs and services
Use Git for source versioning
Participate in and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
Work in Cloud environments, especially GCP
Actively participate in agile team ceremonies and routines
Contribute to software engineering best practices, focusing on quality, performance, scalability and code maintainability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with Java 8+ or Java 11+
Advanced experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem
Solid experience with microservices architecture
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, ActiveMQ or similar
Advanced knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL
Hands-on experience with React
Proficiency with Hooks, Context API and componentization
Experience integrating front-end applications with back-end services
Knowledge of development best practices for both back-end and front-end
Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
Experience in GCP cloud environments
Experience working with agile methodologies
Desired: experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments
Desired: knowledge and experience with Docker
Desired: experience with Grafana, Splunk or Prometheus
Desired: experience with high-criticality, high-availability and highly scalable applications
