About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate business requirements into data engineering problems and solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and resilient data pipelines.
- Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes.
- Ensure the quality, performance, and governance of implemented solutions.
- Participate in defining data engineering architectures and standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, supporting data-driven initiatives.
- Perform troubleshooting and optimization of data processes and environments.
- Act as a technical reference for the team, supporting architectural decisions and best practices.
- Mentor less senior professionals, promoting the technical growth of the team.
- Drive the design and evolution of data engineering solutions aligned with business needs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid experience in Data Engineering.
- Proficiency in PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
- Knowledge of Amazon EMR.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based environments.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka for data processing and integration.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Software engineering knowledge, including development best practices, version control, and Clean Code.
- Experience with architecture and implementation of data solutions in enterprise environments.
- Ability to mentor and develop teams.
- Skill in providing technical guidance and knowledge dissemination.
- Positive influence on technical decision-making.
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
