About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze inputs from other SSDDs and critically review TSC/FSC requirements for consistency, completeness, and applicability
Evaluate incoming safety requirement status and follow up on partial or rejected items
Define and formalize Software Safety Requirements, including safety mechanisms protecting ASIL A/B critical data
Own and maintain the SSDD as the reference safety deliverable and ensure traceability to TSC/FSR requirements
Perform Critical Path Analysis for changes affecting safety-relevant software modules and determine required corrective or preventive actions
Define safety mechanisms and coordinate with Software Architects on implementation in ASWCs
Review implementation choices against safety requirements
Define or oversee SIL test activities and verify compliance with the SSDD
Perform software-level safety analyses upon delivery of each critical ASWC and drive implementation of appropriate safety mechanisms

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Software/Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of experience
Solid knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standard, particularly Part 6
Experience with Technical Safety Concepts, Functional Safety Concepts, and Software Safety Requirements
Familiarity with embedded software architecture, AUTOSAR, and safety mechanism design
Experience with Model-Based Design
Good understanding of C code development and review for embedded software applications
Experience with SIL testing and verification methods
Ability to perform critical path analysis on software changes
Strong cross-functional communication skills with Safety Managers, Software Architects, and Functional Safety teams
Rigor in requirements traceability and technical documentation, including SSDD authoring
