About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Be responsible for carrying out various tasks related to the development, testing, certification, production and in-service support of avionics systems for advanced business aircraft.
- Support the timely integration of systems.
- Support the definition and management of overall system and subsystem requirements.
- Work with system suppliers as well as other suppliers and disciplines interfacing with the program.
- Observe or participate in certain certification tests, inspections and/or audits.
- Review and approve compliance reports in accordance with approved certification plans.
- Ensure the continued airworthiness of the aircraft’s avionics systems.
- Approve and recommend certification plans to obtain acceptance from regulatory authorities.
- Support the final assembly line and in-service aircraft for any design-related issues.
- Participate in the development and implementation of tools and processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You hold a university degree in electrical, electronic, software, or aerospace engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Current or candidate DAD/DAR status is considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and maintain working relationships with TCCA, EASA or the FAA.
- You have knowledge of civil airworthiness regulations, specifically FAR Part 25.
- You have extensive hands-on experience with aircraft systems design, testing and certification requirements.
- You have knowledge and/or experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) systems.
- You are familiar with industry standards DO-178, DO-160, DO-254, ARP4754 and ARP4761.
- You have strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You have excellent problem-solving, work organization and prioritization skills.
- You are able to work effectively in a team environment.
- You are willing to travel.
