About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers worldwide from a commercial and contractual perspective.
  • Develop new sourcing channels and establish strategic alliances.
  • Develop business strategies for negotiations.
  • Lead and participate in commodity development by managing projects that may include preparing profitability analyses.
  • Lead, develop and execute commodity strategy, and provide senior management with progress updates on projects and negotiations.
  • Identify, analyze and realize cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Create and maintain formal internal and external networks.
  • Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for new business.
  • Support sites and/or business units with appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead negotiations of any claims with suppliers to support production issues of business units.
  • Support business units in applying contractual remedies in cases of significant breaches.
  • Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers.
  • Ensure contracts are managed in accordance with company requirements.
  • Support other supply chain agents in their contract negotiations, commercial agreements, product change negotiations, and contract amendments.
  • Participate in the governance of cost-reduction initiatives and ensure projects are delivered.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry and/or a manufacturing environment and/or program management in a commercial role is an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and project management experience.
  • Detail-oriented, focused, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Team player recognized for leadership, innovation, and the ability to mobilize a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in French and English; effective communication in both languages.
  • Strong operational management and financial management skills.
  • Comfortable with complex technical subjects and knowledgeable in legal terminology or contract interpretation.
  • Knowledge of just-in-time procurement logistics, integrated supply chain concepts, and lean manufacturing.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
