Principal FPGA Design Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as part of firmware teams to deliver firmware projects to agreed time, cost and quality
- Verify firmware using Hardware Verification Languages or Hardware Description languages
- Design firmware using Hardware Description Languages
- Enhancement of firmware related processes (documenting, scripting, reporting, process automation)
- Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree level qualification in a relevant subject such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Membership or fellowship of a professional engineering body preferably with or working towards chartered status.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog SystemVerilog/C++ Verification
- OSVVM, UVVM, Advanced VHDL Verification
- IBM Rational DOORS
- ModelSim, QuestaSim FPGA Vendor Toolchains
- PCIe, Ethernet, Serial Communications, AXI4
- Object-Oriented Design
- Image Processing & Algorithms
- MATLAB
