About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain automation test scripts for Web and API applications using Selenium or Playwright.
- Work within existing test automation frameworks and enhance them with new utilities or reusable components as needed.
- Analyze requirements, create test scenarios, and automate regression, smoke, and functional test cases.
- Execute automated test suites, debug failures, and provide root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure automation runs successfully as part of the delivery cycle.
- Collaborate with developers, manual QA, and product teams to ensure effective test coverage and quality delivery.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and share best practices on automation standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in software test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in Web UI automation using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of Java (OOPs, Collections, Exception Handling, basic Streams & Lambda).
- Experience in API Automation using REST Assured or similar tools.
- Working experience with frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber (BDD).
- Good understanding of STLC, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle.
- Experience in Git or other version control systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Experience using Maven/Gradle build tools.
