Junior Body In White Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the design and development of BIW components and assemblies (closures, underbody, structure)
- Ensure compliance with performance targets (crashworthiness, durability, stiffness, weight, cost)
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and KPIs across the product development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Suppliers)
- Drive design reviews and technical decision-making processes
- Ensure application of engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support industrialization phase, including manufacturability and feasibility assessments
- Monitor and optimize design through CAE validation and test feedback loops
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering field
- Previous experience in Body in White (BIW) engineering (design and/or integration) is an advantage
- Knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX), CAE tools, PLM systems
- Familiarity with sheet metal design, stamping, and forming processes
- Understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and automotive development processes
- Project management and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
