About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee the design and development of BIW components and assemblies (closures, underbody, structure)
Ensure compliance with performance targets (crashworthiness, durability, stiffness, weight, cost)
Manage project timelines, milestones, and KPIs across the product development lifecycle
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Suppliers)
Drive design reviews and technical decision-making processes
Ensure application of engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support industrialization phase, including manufacturability and feasibility assessments
Monitor and optimize design through CAE validation and test feedback loops

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related engineering field
Previous experience in Body in White (BIW) engineering (design and/or integration) is an advantage
Knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 or Siemens NX), CAE tools, PLM systems
Familiarity with sheet metal design, stamping, and forming processes
Understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and automotive development processes
Project management and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an international environment.
