Network Engineer – SATCOMS

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out routine and scheduled maintenance in accordance with work orders, maintenance plans, and technical documentation.
- Lead or support reactive maintenance activities in response to system faults and service incidents.
- Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system alarms, faults, and anomalies.
- Produce detailed fault reports and ensure accurate recording of all maintenance activities.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders to maintain service availability.
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
- Technical background in electronics, engineering, networking, telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- Experience maintaining, repairing, or fault-finding on communications or network equipment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Understanding and practical experience of maintaining high-power RF (Radio Frequency) transmission and antenna systems.
- Comfortable working with cabling, antennas, and hands-on technical troubleshooting.
