Mechanical Engineer – Accessories Development

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop accessories for our current and future vehicles
- Advance projects from initial concepts through to production
- Shape the vision guiding accessory integration on upcoming platforms
- Collaborate with design, marketing, procurement, quality assurance, vehicle group teams, and suppliers throughout the product development process
- Contribute to defining performance criteria, prepare validation plans for each accessory, and ensure their execution
- Test prototypes under real-world operating conditions
- Conduct studies, analyses, and calculations to guide design technicians and project implementers using general and specific technical parameters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated tenacity and proven effectiveness in project management
- Strong organizational skills, autonomous work style, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent collaborator and team player
- Licensed with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ): yes
- Experience: 2–5 years
- Languages: Good written and spoken English, as the role will involve communication with suppliers and collaborators outside the country
- Experience with design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
- Experience with predictive analysis / finite element analysis (FEA) software
