About the role
- Analyse and interpret complex data sets to drive business insights and decision-making
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data processing and analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
- Provide rapid response to emerging in-service issues
- Develop and implement new analytics or reconfigure existing live techniques and data streams to provide ongoing in-service containment at an asset or fleet level
- Take ownership of critical data projects and drive business insights
- Work with Azure cloud-based data platforms and advanced data analysis tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Aero Engineering or a related field
- Relevant certifications in data analysis or related areas are a plus
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Strong experience with Python for data analysis and automation
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Familiarity with Azure cloud-based data platforms
- Strong IT user & configuration skills (Python, MATLAB, SQL and Azure Platform)
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and tools
- Numerate, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in a data focused role (Engine Health Monitoring, Engine Performance, service engineering or product support) preferred but not necessary
- Languages required: English essential
