About the role

  • Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements
  • Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mappings
  • Work closely with architects and developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible
  • Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritise the product backlog
  • Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies
  • Provide ongoing clarification to developers and testers throughout the sprint
  • Produce and maintain API specifications and interface definitions
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and technical discussions

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML
  • Event driven and message based integrations
  • Payment gateway architecture and transaction flows
  • Merchant accounts, MIDs, acquirer relationships
  • Ability to interpret API documentation and collaborate effectively with technical teams
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps and Postman
  • Experience in payments, e-commerce, or financial services
  • Understanding of card schemes, acquirers, and settlement processes
  • Knowledge of fraud, chargebacks, and reconciliation workflows
