About the role
- Capture, analyse, and document end‑to‑end payroll requirements, including statutory, regulatory, functional, operational, and integration needs
- Develop detailed as‑is and to‑be payroll process maps, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Support the implementation of a new payroll platform and provider, producing requirements, data definitions, validation rules, and acceptance criteria
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with payroll SMEs, finance teams, and in‑market stakeholders
- Ensure payroll requirements are traceable through design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with the vendor/provider during configuration reviews, functional design walkthroughs, and solution validation
- Support payroll data migration activities, including mapping, transformation requirements, and reconciliation needs
- Prepare and maintain high‑quality analysis artefacts including process flows, user stories, test scenarios, and documentation
- Identify and escalate risks and dependencies associated with payroll timelines, compliance, or solution design
Requirements
- Relevant third level qualification or equivalent work experience
- Additional course or certification in Business Analysis
- Strong capability in requirements engineering, process analysis, and documentation
- Understanding of end-to-end payroll processes, compliance requirements, and payroll operating models
- Ability to run workshops and engage with global and local payroll SMEs
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a complex, multi-market programme environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational discipline
- Direct experience capturing and defining payroll requirements for a payroll transformation or system implementation
- Hands-on involvement in implementing a new payroll platform and onboarding a new payroll provider (e.g., ADP, SD Worx, Ceridian, NGA/Alight, Workday Payroll)
- Experience producing payroll process maps, data requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Previous experience supporting payroll UAT, data migration, reconciliation, or cutover activities is advantageous
- Experience working in global or multi-country payroll environments is highly desirable
