About the role

  • Direct a QA team
  • Gather information from business stakeholders to verify and prioritise business requirements
  • Prepare, execute and document test cases based on Business & Functional Requirements
  • Work with clients to understand existing or new processes and systems
  • Work closely with the clients’ Technical Architects and Developers
  • Ensure that the scope of a design iteration doesn't vary unless authorised
  • Report issues to management
  • Mentor less experienced analysts and motivate others
  • Review test cases written by peers
  • Re-test bugs to confirm they have been corrected
  • Review, mentor and assign tasks to junior QA staff
  • Bring a quality focus to product releases

Requirements

  • A degree-level qualification in a Computer Science discipline
  • ISTQB certification
  • Non-functional testing
  • Experience within telecommunications or finance industries advantageous
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • People management skills
  • Team work and emotional intelligence
  • Good self-management
  • Innovative approach
  • Ability to influence Stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience in a Test lead position
  • 3 years’ experience testing across a variety of environments and industries
  • Scoping and creating functional and non-functional test plans and test data
  • Test estimation and test planning experience
