About the role
- Translate customer specifications into engineering solutions, identifying and mitigating technical risk
- Produce engineering calculations to support conceptual or detail engineering solutions
- Detail engineering solutions per industry or client standards for manufacture or purchase
- Contribute to technical reports and feasibility studies and ensure contractual, safety and legislative requirements are addressed
- Guide technicians, sub-contractors or suppliers and ensure safe execution
- Provide engineering input for sales proposals and produce clear technical reports and presentations
- Estimate task times, plan own work and deliver right first time and on time
- Follow Company Quality Assurance Policies and Processes Manual and contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- BTech/MTech
- 4 to 6 years of experience
- Knowledge of aircraft fuselage and wing structure and aircraft loads
- Experienced in the static calculations of Airbus aircrafts (fuselage and wing section)
- Sizing and stress analysis of the fuselage and wing structure and interfaces by means of hand calculations and numerical simulations (FEM)
- Well versed in ISAMI static modules and ISAMI template preparation for metallic and composite modules
- Experience in numerical modeling, post-processing, extraction & reporting of the results
- Very well-versed in stress dossier writing
- Good in Excel macros
- Experience with ISAMI, Hyperview (post processing), Catia V5, PASS SSI (basic knowledge), Nastran/Patran, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Airbus processes and procedures (desired)
- Visual Basic and/or Python programming knowledge (desired)
- Experience in initial Design Stress (Static and FEM) tasks of Aircraft Structures (desired)
