Provide data analysis support to manufacturing at a client facility producing cutting edge defence products
Role requires familiarity with the latest tooling, techniques, technology & automation in assembly and test of advanced electronics and electromechanical sub-assemblies
Hybrid role with attendance at the client site in Bolton
Analyse complex datasets across the electronics production lifecycle to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement
Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance production efficiency, minimise waste and improve product reliability
Collaborate with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to translate data insights into practical improvements
Design and build intuitive dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical audiences
Continuously improve data collection methods, analytical tools and overall data management practices within a low-volume production setting
Support development and execution of performance measurement frameworks and mentor less experienced team members
Requirements
Degree level qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC/HND acceptable with significant demonstrable experience)
Experience in defence, aerospace, military, marine or rail preferred (high-reliability products)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and methodical approach ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy
Solid understanding of electronics assembly processes, including soldering, circuit board assembly, testing, and packaging
Familiarity with materials used in electronics and their impact on manufacturing processes
Proficiency in analysing production data to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues, and support decision-making
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Competence in interpreting and producing technical documentation (schematics, engineering reports, test reports)
Capacity to identify, evaluate, and implement practical and innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges
Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing (desired)
Awareness of health and safety regulations and environmental standards relevant to the electronics industry
UK sole National SC Clearance required
Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the client site in Bolton 3/4 days per week
