About the role

  • Lead and manage projects (low to medium complexity) from initiation through to delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met
  • Support bid and business development activities, including requirements capture, scope definition, cost estimation, and scheduling
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Monitor project performance and apply robust control and change management processes
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, customer processes, and legal regulations
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of project management best practices
  • Coordinate project resource changes and support team development
  • Report on project progress, KPIs, and support customer satisfaction initiatives

Requirements

  • HND/degree level within an Engineering, Project Management or Business/Operational Management field or/and be able to demonstrate experience and proven capability
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g. MS Project, PRINCE2, Agile)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Proactive approach with a desire to grow and take on increasing responsibility
  • Experience working on engineering or mission systems within military or defence-related programmes
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, APM) is highly desirable
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
